About MSNF

Our Story

I'm a mother of four daughters. When my youngest, Victoria, was two, she was diagnosed with an intellectual disability and we were told she might never walk or talk.

We chose action over limits. Through years of therapy and perseverance, Victoria is now progressing, included, and proving that potential can't be defined so early.

Along the way, I saw many families in Montreal unable to afford the care their children need. That's why I founded the Montreal Special Needs Family Organization (MSNF) — to fund therapy for underprivileged children so cost is never a barrier.

Victoria is my inspiration. MSNF is my promise: no child should be defined by a diagnosis, and no family should face this journey alone.

A message from Victoria

Hi, my name is Victoria.

When I was little, doctors said I might never walk or talk. But I kept trying, every single day. With the help of my family and my therapies, I am growing, learning, and getting stronger.

Sometimes things are harder for me, but I don't give up. I love being included, making progress, and showing what I can do.

I know there are many kids like me who just need a chance. Through MSNF, my mom helps families get the support their children need.

Thank you for believing in kids like me.

Our Mission

MSNF became a registered charity in 2015 with a dedicated mission to support and cover the FULL cost of therapy for underprivileged children. Our team is committed to improving the quality of life for children with special needs by helping families overcome financial barriers to essential care.

Through the generous support of individuals, businesses, organizations, and foundations, we continue to create meaningful opportunities for children to grow, develop, and thrive.

Has Your Child Been Diagnosed with a Disability?

Let Us Help You Help Them.

Long wait times for diagnosis and therapy can delay the support your child needs. Early intervention is critical, but private services — often costing up to $150 per hour — can be financially overwhelming for families.

MSNF helps bridge the gap by providing access to essential therapies and support services so children can receive the care they deserve, sooner.

How MSNF Supports Families

At MSNF, our mission is to support families raising children with special needs by helping them access the care, therapy, and resources their children need to reach their full potential.

For families who qualify, MSNF provides financial assistance to help cover the cost of specialized therapies, including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), and Physiotherapy.

We also provide one-on-one support and advocacy, helping families navigate the challenges they face and connect with the services and resources available to them. Our goal is to ensure that no family feels alone and that every child has the opportunity to receive the care and support they deserve.

Because every child and family is unique, MSNF works closely with each family to understand their individual needs and provide personalized support based on their circumstances.
